4 Days 3 Nights Selous Game Reserve

Itinerary:
Selous Game reserve is one of the largest conservation areas in Africa and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The reserve covers 5,000 squares Kilometers and also boosts the largest elephant population, lions and buffalos in Tanzania. The topography of the park varies from the rolling savannah woodland, grassland plains and rocky outcrop cut by Rufiji River and its tributaries which give the reserve life. Sailing or rafting is amazing game viewing during the dry season between June and October.
Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Selous Game Reserve
Pick up from Dar es Salaam for Selous Game Reserve, depart early in the morning for a scenic 4-5 hours drive. Arriving at your lodge/camp in time for lunch.
Late afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Selous Game Reserve
Day 2: Selous Game Reserve
Morning game drives to the Selous Game Reserve, followed by lunch.
Late afternoon proceeds with a boat safari on the Rufiji River. A boat safari will bring you closer to the large numbers of crocodiles of River Rufiji, the birdlife is also great depending on the time of the year with possible spotting of African skimmer, Goliath Heron and saddle-billed Stork.

Day 3: Game Drive in the Selous
Further Full day game drive at Selous Game Reserve, game along the Rufiji River starting from Lake Nzelekela, Manze, and Lake Tagalala, Selous is abundant with game, you can expect to see major African wildlife ; Elephant, Lions, African Wild dog.
Lunch at a picnic site; late afternoon before sunset return to Your Camp/Lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Return to Dar
Early morning walking safari for 2 or 3 hours followed by breakfast and then start driving back to Dar es Salaam with lunch
